What ages do you work with and do you offer couples counseling?
I work with individuals 18-yrs and older. I am only offering individual therapy sessions at this time.
What states are you licensed in?
Florida, Idaho, South Carolina and Virginia - Telehealth only
Do you take insurance?
I am In-Network with Aetna, Cigna, BCBS of MA and Optum for both VA and FL.
I also accept clients who want to use their Out of Network benefit and I have partnered with Thrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically for you. With Thrizer, you will only have to pay your co-insurance for our sessions, instead of paying my full fee and waiting for reimbursements. This can save you on average 70% upfront on our sessions. During our intake process, I can help you verify if you have out-of-network benefits and how much your co-insurance would be.
What are Out of Network Benefits?
These are benefits that some insurance plans offer if you want to see a provider that is not in-network with your plan. You will have a deductible that needs to be reached like your in-network providers ( the out of network deductible maybe higher). Once you reach your deductible, you can be reimbursed up to a certain percentage of the bill.
I work with Thrizer who will do all the work for you in submitting the claim to your insurance.
How do I find out if I have Out-of-Network benefits?
Your out-of-network benefits are usually listed in the Summary of Benefits information on your insurance company's website. It’s always a good idea to call the number on the back of your health insurance card listed under Member Services.
You can ask your insurance the following questions:
- Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage?
- Am I able to use these benefits for telehealth?
- What is my out-of-network deductible?
- How much of my deductible has been met this year?
- Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?
- What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?
- How much will I be reimbursed for a 50-60 minute psychotherapy session (CPT code: 90837)?
- How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement?
- How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?
